Its Sunday Funday!

I love Sunday for a number of reasons, one of them is that we always get donuts in the morning, its sort of a Roose family tradition. SO FUN. So as were leaving Dandy Donut we decide to go to Havasu for the last time for a while. We went to the shopping strip and went to JC Penny’s which has my favorite store ever in it…. SEPHORA!!  So we went and took some pictures in front of the London Bridge ….

AND…. I worked on this little project for Christmas gifts as well, its been a super productive weekend.

I used Champagne bottles and wine bottles, spray painted them white, used spray craft glue and rolled them in epsom salt.

I got this idea off of  Pinterest. This project is a perfect cute gift idea, im going to get little Christmas ornaments and tie them on with some cute ribbon and a tag.

BEWARE: they can get kinda messy and the salt falls off easily but they are very pretty!

Makeup review

I got my box of goodies from Sephora, Here is a picture of what I got. I tried a couple new things and for the most part I'm impressed.

 

So starting off:

Bare Minerals: Face makeup in medium, I'm a huge fan of this line. very natural and I love the brushes so this is nothing new for me.

Trio Benefit face primers: I love them all and Sephora has this set of 3 for only $10.00 their “sample packs” but you can easily use them for a month, I love the porefessional one, makes your pores smaller. That gal is a brightening  primer and I love to pair it with my Bare minerals foundation. Works like a charm! Stay don’t stray is for your eye makeup and it really does keep it on for a whole day.

They’re Real: I usually use Bad Gal Lash by Benefit and decided to try this new one, Im getting used to it, it does make your eyes pop. But I think next time I will be sticking to what I know ( Bad Gal Lash) I just love that stuff.

Dallas bronze-blush: IN LOVE does not even do justice for how I feel for this. I have very fair skin and it gives me a peachy glow and does not make me look like im too over bronzified…I just made that word up…

 

Sephora lip gloss: in pin up pink, I got this as a freebie from my sephora points, it’s a vibrant pink and it looks great with a nude eye and bronzy cheeks. I think im going to buy the full size.

Perfect brow: In caramel, it keeps your brows in place no stray hairs… This also came as a sample and I would totally buy the full size.

 

Well that’s all I got! try the lip gloss and the blush though their amazing!

11-11-11

Yesterday was the last wedding I will be doing for Laughlin River Tours. I came out here almost three years ago, my previous job was at Chase, and I got a job doing weddings and working in the office here. I cannot tell you how lucky I am to have met the people I work with! I have learned so much, from bridezillas to typewriters. And that the POST 60 is NOT a post office! Looking back on my time here Ive realized a couple things,

1. I can do anything with my husband by my side
2. I have a great family back home that i miss and love to pieces.
3. I can do anything and navigate through any situation, I have a good head on my shoulders.
4. as Shirley my boss says, There is always tomorrow. and "fuck a duck" that's another one lol
5. I really found myself out here, I know who I am and what I stand for and that's an amazing feeling.
6. If you don't know something smile and laugh.. ( this helps when you are confronted by an angry bride)
7. I can pin a boutioneer with OUT making a guy bleed.
8. I am really going to miss the crew but even more I'm going to miss Shirley, shes been like a mother to me, she has seen me laugh, cry, be at my worst and she still was right there with me giving me amazing advice. I couldn't have lived here and made it without her...

I have had my funniest moments out here, getting attacked by a pigeon in a tanning salon, not being able to cut paper even, and falling in a casino as i was telling Shirley that i have to be super careful in these shoes because I always fall.

We have about to weeks left of being in Laughlin, Im exctied to be home but I know I will miss it here, So here goes to another chapter in my life... Its going to be another rollercoaster but hey isnt that what life is about?

This is the Celebration, the boat I worked on... They have dinner cruises, sightseeing and wedding cruises... so GO!

I am going to attempt these this weekend! so easy! Spray paint, spray adhesive, and epsom salts… Were having a huge wedding on the boat and were going to be going through some champagne bottles so im going to get them and use them for these super cute wintery vases for Christmas presents!

November fun

I am so excited that the winter is finally upon us!! I have found so many cute things to do for Christmas gifts! I cant believe its that time again! I absolutely LOVE this time of year! We have many new things happening with us. We are moving from Laughlin NV in about 19 days back home to California. I am beyond happy to be making this move, its sort of scary, I do not have a job but my husband does and i know that God will bless us as he already has in the past. We have to put our complete faith in Him and i know we will be fine. It will give me much more time with Khloe which is now almost 9 months old! Our home is now insane with packing and boxes its starting to get real that were moving back. Anyways here are a couple of things i have found that im in love with:

My Angel

Khloe Madison is doing fantastic! I cannot believe that she is 4 moths old already… she is the most beautiful person I know. She is an angel and so perfect and innocent. There is nothing like the innocence of a child. Everything is new and perfect. I wish the world stays this way for her. I hope the best for my baby and I want her to have a positive out look on life. It is so hard when you see all these horrible people and things. It makes you ask yourself how did these people turn into burglers and murderers ?? How do people turn bad? they were once little babies and so pure how does this happen. It is so sad to see and I hope Khloe always stays near God and does not get pursuaded by all of the other crap this world has to offer. There is so much beauty in life and my prayer is that she only sees the beauty in life every day….

We had our beautiful Daughter Khloe Madison Roose on February 12th 2011 at 12:08 pm! She was 8 lbs. 4 oz. and she was 21 inches long! She is the most amazing baby and we are so blessed to have her!! Were going to California this weekend so this will be her first Cali trip! YAY! and she will get to see all her family and the beach!
